We are currently looking for a Model United Nations (MUN) coach to join our Senior School MUN team (Grades 8-12). In this role, you will collaborate with teacher sponsors and student leaders to implement a program that enhances students' understanding of global issues and encourages their participation in MUN competitions.
Responsibilities:
โ Organize and conduct practices for MUN and Ethics Bowl club members on Tuesdays after school from January 2026 to June 2026.
โ Supervise students at MUN conference(s) as required.
โ Attend and support students during MUN and Ethics Bowl competition(s) as needed.
โ Collaborate with teacher sponsors and club leaders to promote, plan, and execute a MUN program that caters to both new and returning members.
โ Provide supplementary resources, training, and guidance to students as they prepare for various MUN conferences.
โ Foster and enhance the leadership skills of the MUN student club captains.
โ Participate in planning meetings with the MUN teacher sponsors and club leaders to assess progress and strategize future initiatives.
โ Maintain clear communication with teacher sponsors and school administration.
โ Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.
โ Engage in school-led training such as: Respect in the Workplace and Safeguarding.
โ Undertake additional responsibilities as required.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience:
โ 1 - 3 years of experience coaching Model United Nations and/or Ethics Bowl.
โ Familiarity with the procedures and formats of local High School MUN conferences.
โ Clear understanding of the diverse learning styles of girls and young women.
โ Commitment to upholding professional practice standards.
โ Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
