About This Role

We are seeking a Teacher of English as an Additional Language (EAL) to join our team in Bucharest. This role involves serving as a key advisor to leadership, facilitating the improvement process, and actively contributing to our diverse extracurricular offerings. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to our school community and promote EAL across all educational stages.

The British School of Bucharest is among the select 21 COBIS Training Schools globally. With a well-established presence, we host over 700 students from more than 60 nations on our beautiful campus in Bucharest. Our institution consistently achieves exceptional exam results and fosters a vibrant, professionally enriching environment.

BSB is dedicated to delivering a comprehensive curriculum grounded in the National Curriculum of England and Wales. We have received BSO status from the Independent Schools Inspectorate and are proud to be an accredited member of COBIS.

The successful applicant will teach in the Primary School, covering Reception through Year 6. Familiarity with the Cambridge Global English programme and KET/PET English assessments would be beneficial. The candidate will be enthusiastic about enhancing our extensive extracurricular programme, committed to our entire school community, and advocate for EAL and ESL at every level of the school.
