Job Overview

The Kindergarten & Primary School Principal will be responsible for the academic, pastoral, and operational leadership of the Early Years and Primary divisions.

This role reports to the Head of Schools, who will offer strategic guidance, professional mentoring, and continuous support to ensure alignment across campuses and adherence to the school’s academic objectives and long-term vision.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning, curriculum implementation, and assessment practices.

• Mentoring, developing, and supporting educators through coaching and professional development opportunities.

• Ensuring a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment for all students.

• Establishing strong, trust-based relationships with parents and facilitating effective communication and engagement.

• Collaborating closely with the Admissions team to support sustainable school growth through strong academic positioning, engaging confidently with prospective families, and maintaining a positive school reputation.

• Overseeing accreditation processes, including WASC, in partnership with senior leadership and relevant committees.

• Working in conjunction with senior leadership to ensure coherence with the school’s vision, values, and long-term objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

• A Master’s Degree in Education or a related discipline (essential).

• A recognized teaching qualification such as QTS, PGCE, or equivalent.

• At least 3 years of leadership experience in a Principal, Deputy Principal, or similar senior leadership role, ideally in an international school context.

• A solid understanding of the Cambridge curriculum and assessment frameworks.

• Experience with or exposure to Singaporean curriculum approaches is a plus.

• NPQH or an equivalent leadership qualification is preferred.

• Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.

• A strong dedication to maintaining high academic standards within a holistic, child-centered learning environment.

Remuneration: A competitive salary package will be provided, commensurate with qualifications and experience, including a housing allowance and a return air ticket upon contract completion.
