About This Role

Runnymede College, a private non-denominational British institution in Madrid, provides a British education to boys and girls of diverse nationalities, catering to students from ages two to eighteen. The curriculum adheres to the British National Curriculum.

Established as a private school in September 1967, the primary division opened in 1987, and since 1990, the entire institution has resided in La Moraleja, located in the northern part of Madrid. The school is organized into three segments: Pre-Prep (Pre Nursery to Year 3), Prep (Years 4 to 8), and Senior School (Years 9 to 13).

Runnymede College boasts impressive academic standards. In June 2025, 57% of our students secured A-A* grades at A level, surpassing the 48% of A*-A grades achieved by independent (private) schools across England this year. Additionally, 67% of our pupils attained A*-A grades at IGCSE, which is commendable compared to the 48% of A*-A grades at GCSE in the English independent school sector.

In the graduating class of 2025, 83% of students heading to the UK will be enrolling in Top 10 universities, as ranked by the Sunday Times Good University Guide. Esteemed institutions such as Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, UCL, and LSE are among those welcoming this year's graduates. Students in the US have also begun their higher education journeys at prestigious schools like Harvard, Columbia, UPenn, and Brown, among others.

Some of our students will remain in Spain, attending leading institutions such as ICADE, IE, and ICAI, while others will pursue their studies at renowned universities across Europe in France and Ireland.
