About the Role:

Brighton College (Singapore) is in search of an inspiring Teacher of Mathematics, who will take a lead role in implementing a world-class maths curriculum for the Senior School starting August 2026. This is a critical opportunity to enhance and elevate the college's mathematics offerings as Brighton College (Singapore) transitions from a premier Prep School to one of the leading all-through schools in the region, catering to students from Pre-Nursery to Year 13.

What you will be doing:


Oversee the teaching, progress, and achievement of all students in Years 7 to 13.


Lead all components of curriculum planning and implementation.


Encourage excellence, creativity, and innovation throughout the maths curriculum.


Show a commitment to continuous professional growth.


Manage all aspects of assessment, tracking, and reporting for maths within your classes.


Exhibit the experience and capability to teach maths across all relevant Key Stages, including IGCSE/GCSE and A-level.


Act as an exemplary classroom practitioner, leading by example.


Create and apply thorough self-evaluation processes.


Engage in the department’s extension and enrichment initiatives.


Demonstrate the experience needed to support students in future applications to prestigious universities, such as Oxford, Cambridge, and other top-tier institutions.


Ensure students have the chance to prepare for and engage in global maths competitions, providing necessary challenges.


Collaborate closely with the Head of Maths, Heads of EAL, and AEN to develop support pathways for students in your classes.


Partner with the Head of Maths and middle and senior leaders in the Prep School to facilitate a smooth transition in Maths from Year 6 to Year 7.


Assist in the development and refinement of the required KS3/4/5 curriculum and departmental documentation for current and prospective parents. Serve as Exams Officer for Prep and early Senior cohorts.


Contribute to maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding and to the school’s pastoral system by acting as a tutor for a Senior School year group.


Participate in the co-curricular activities of the school.


Fulfill any other reasonable management requests that support the school’s mission, vision, and values.

Who we are looking for:


A Bachelor’s degree in any field along with a PGCE or equivalent.


Experience in an international school setting (preferred but not essential).


Exceptional writing and communication skills.


Embodies the values of Curiosity, Confidence, and Kindness inherent to Brighton College (Singapore).


Possesses an international perspective and an understanding of working in diverse settings.

A Bachelor’s degree in mathematics (or any other relevant discipline connected to Maths), accompanied by a PGCE or equivalent.


Expertise or experience in successfully delivering Mathematics GCSEs/IGCSEs and A-levels (essential).


Experience in an international school environment (preferred).

Possesses an international perspective and an understanding of working in diverse settings.
