Role Overview:

The Horizon community is renowned for its spirit of challenge, innovation, wellbeing, and enjoyment. As an Islamic Teaching Assistant, your role will be vital in enhancing our students' learning experiences within the classroom.

The ideal candidate will assist the Islamic Studies department in providing enriching learning opportunities for students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the teacher with various classroom activities.

• Work closely with students one-on-one and in group settings.

• Lead intervention sessions.

• Aid in creating supportive learning environments, both indoors and outdoors, that cater to the children's needs and interests.

• Exemplify the HES Values in all communications and interactions.

• Comply with and actively uphold safeguarding policies, procedures, and the code of conduct.

• Approach school life and professional development with initiative and professionalism.

• Perform any additional duties as reasonably requested.

The Successful Candidate will have:

• A qualification in Islamic Studies or a closely related field.

• At least 2 years of experience teaching or supporting Islamic Studies for both Arab and non-Arab students.

• Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.

• The ability to assist teachers in classroom instruction, student engagement, and preparation of learning resources.

• A positive attitude, strong teamwork capabilities, and a dedication to enhancing students’ learning and wellbeing.

• Experience in Dubai or the UAE is desirable.
