About This Role
About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified English Teacher to become part of our school community. The perfect candidate will possess experience in teaching within an English curriculum framework and a proven track record of inspiring students in literature, language, and critical thinking.
•
Design, implement, and execute engaging English lessons that align with the school’s curriculum (e.g., IGCSE, A-Level, or other recognized international programs).
•
Instruct students in English language, literature, and writing across middle and/or high school grade levels as designated.
•
Enhance students’ reading, writing, speaking, and analytical abilities using various instructional strategies.
•
Evaluate and track student progress through both formative and summative assessments, offering timely and constructive feedback.
•
Engage in the school’s pastoral system, which may involve taking on roles such as a homeroom teacher or academic advisor.
•
Maintain consistent communication with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
•
Work collaboratively with the English department and interdisciplinary teams on curriculum development, resource sharing, and school-wide initiatives.
Requirements:
•
Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, English Education, Literature, or a related discipline.
•
Valid teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, state license, or international equivalent).
•
A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in an international or bilingual school environment.
•
Familiarity with international English curricula such as IGCSE and A-Level English.
•
Strong classroom management abilities and a knack for fostering an inclusive, motivating learning atmosphere.
•
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
•
A demonstrated dedication to professional development and student-focused teaching.
