About This Role
Key Responsibilities
•
Design and implement engaging and tailored Science lessons for KS3 students, with the opportunity to teach IGCSE Science.
•
Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student curiosity and scientific exploration.
•
Utilize both formative and summative assessments to monitor student advancement and deliver focused feedback.
•
Work collaboratively with the Science department to create curriculum materials and exchange effective teaching strategies.
•
Engage in school activities, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development opportunities.
•
Contribute to the school’s extracurricular initiatives, including Science clubs, competitions, or STEM-related projects.
Requirements
•
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related discipline (Master’s degree is an advantage).
•
Recognized teaching qualification (such as PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
•
Demonstrated experience teaching Science within the British curriculum, ideally at KS3 and IGCSE levels.
•
Knowledge of IGCSE Science syllabi (e.g., Cambridge or Edexcel).
•
Proficient in English (both written and spoken).
•
Excellent interpersonal skills and the capability to thrive in a multicultural setting.
•
Dedication to continuous professional development and innovative teaching methodologies.
