Capital School Bahrain – British Curriculum International School

Capital School Bahrain is on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced Head of Early Years to enhance and lead our Early Years Foundation Stage offerings.

This pivotal leadership position within the Primary phase is ideal for a seasoned EYFS leader or an accomplished Early Years educator with substantial leadership experience, who is dedicated to delivering exceptional early childhood education and fostering child development.

Key Responsibilities include:


Providing both strategic and operational oversight of the EYFS (Nursery and Reception)


Ensuring exemplary teaching, learning, and assessment practices that align with the EYFS Framework


Leading curriculum design, implementation, and ongoing enhancement across Early Years


Mentoring and developing EYFS staff through coaching, support, and effective line management


Monitoring student progress, wellbeing, and outcomes to establish a solid foundation for learning


Cultivating strong relationships with parents and caregivers


Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, welfare, and statutory requirements within Early Years


Contributing to school-wide improvement goals and leadership initiatives

The ideal candidate will possess:


Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a focus on Early Years


Demonstrated experience in teaching within the EYFS


Prior experience as an EYFS Lead, Head of Early Years, or in a comparable leadership capacity


In-depth knowledge of the EYFS Framework and early childhood educational practices


Experience in leading teams and facilitating improvement initiatives


A nurturing, child-focused approach paired with high expectations


A strong dedication to safeguarding and inclusive practices

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
