Capital School Bahrain is excited to announce an opening for a dynamic and knowledgeable Teacher of History to join our expanding secondary team starting in August 2026.
The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching History within Key Stages 3 and 4, and will have the chance to contribute to A-Level History as we broaden our post-16 offerings. This role presents a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated historian to become part of a nurturing, ambitious British curriculum institution with definite plans for developing its Sixth Form program.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Delivering exceptional History lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Crafting engaging and well-structured lessons that adhere to the English National Curriculum
• Facilitating strong student progress and achievements at IGCSE level
• Encouraging critical thinking, historical inquiry, and proficient written communication skills
• Upholding high expectations for behavior, effort, and academic performance
• Collaborating effectively within the Humanities department and the broader school community
The ideal candidate will possess:
• Qualified teacher status in History or a closely related Humanities subject
• Experience with the English National Curriculum and IGCSE History instruction
• Strong subject expertise and effective teaching practices
• A dedication to inclusive education and the wellbeing of students
• Experience in teaching A-Level History (preferred)
