Aldar Academies is seeking an exceptional Teacher - MFL to join Mamoura British Academy in Abu Dhabi, commencing in August 2026. Roles and responsibilities include:

Teamwork and collaboration

• Communicate effectively at all levels within the school.
• Build positive relationships with all members of the school community.
• Work collaboratively with fellow teachers to create engaging lessons that meet curriculum standards.
• Coordinate with colleagues and demonstrate flexibility in collaborative efforts.
• Engage with parents to support the well-being and academic success of each child.
• Collaborate with curriculum support staff (as applicable) to enhance children's development.

Specific Duties

Teaching and learning:

• Possess a strong understanding of the Curriculum.
• Organize classroom resources and learning materials, creating displays that foster a positive and engaging learning atmosphere.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that cater to the varied needs of all students in the class.
• Inspire students through dynamic and imaginative teaching methods.
• Observe and assess students in accordance with school assessment practices.
• Reflect on classroom experiences, the effectiveness of lessons taught, and student progress, making necessary adjustments to the learning environment, planning, and curriculum.
• Collaborate with professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists as needed.
• Ensure the Al Mamoura Academy Teacher and Learner DNA principles are seamlessly integrated throughout the curriculum.

Assessment and data:

• Take accountability for a class's academic progress.
• Follow guidelines for assessing and documenting students' development using Target Tracker.
• Use assessment data to inform future planning and interventions.
• Provide feedback to parents and guardians regarding student progress during Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings.

Behaviour management and duties:

• Implement the school’s behaviour policy.
• Effectively manage classroom dynamics, employing strategies tailored to students’ individual needs to motivate and inspire them.
• Foster positive relationships with students, exercising appropriate authority and making decisive actions as necessary in line with the school’s behaviour policy.
• Model the positive attitudes, values, and behaviour expected of students.
• Maintain high expectations for student behaviour, promoting self-control and independence among all learners.
• Fulfill assigned duties as directed, in accordance with the school’s policy.

Wider professional responsibilities:

• Participate in a curriculum action group, contributing to planning, assessment, resources, and special events associated with that team.
• Support and engage in school events, outings, and activities, which may take place on weekends or evenings.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about students' achievements.
