About This Role
Every day is different, and you’ll play an important role in helping our pupils succeed, supporting teachers, and contributing to a welcoming and positive school environment.
If you enjoy working closely with children, can build trusting relationships, and thrive as part of a supportive team, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Working one-to-one or with small groups of pupils to implement action plans and support learning.
- Liaising with teachers and senior staff to identify pupils’ needs and raise achievement and attendance.
- Maintaining regular communication with pupils’ families/carers about progress and issues.
- Supporting pupils’ transition between different phases of education.
- Selecting and adapting resources and activities to meet individual pupil needs.
- Monitoring and recording pupil progress, escalating concerns when necessary.
- Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging pupils to take responsibility for their actions.
- Participating in school events and supporting wider school initiatives as required.
A Little About You
You’ll have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to work patiently with children. Experience in mentoring, tutoring, or supporting pupils in an educational setting is desirable, but we value the right attitude and commitment above all.
- Ability to build trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
- Flexible, patient, and able to adapt to the needs of individual pupils.
- Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and child protection procedures.
Why You’ll Love Working With Us
You’ll be joining a supportive, hardworking team in a welcoming school community. We value kindness, enthusiasm, and a can-do attitude. You’ll have opportunities for professional development and the satisfaction of making a real difference in pupils’ lives.
We’d be delighted to show you around, so why not come and visit?
