About This Role

Job Purpose

The objective is to deliver outstanding teaching and learning experiences in Mathematics during the secondary phase (Key Stages 3–5), ensuring substantial academic growth, active student engagement, and compliance with the British curriculum alongside KHDA standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Craft and present engaging, customized Maths lessons that conform to the British curriculum, promoting significant student progress and success.
  • Create comprehensive schemes of work, lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials that adhere to curriculum guidelines and meet KHDA requirements.
  • Assess, evaluate, and report on student performance, leveraging data to inform instruction and implement targeted interventions.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high expectations, encourages positive behavior for learning, and emphasizes student wellbeing.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, moderation processes, and the continuous improvement of the Maths department.
  • Provide academic support through tutorials, revision sessions, and enrichment activities, including preparation for examinations.
  • Maintain communication with parents through meetings, reports, and school events to enhance student progress and achievement.
  • Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school-wide initiatives.
  • Adhere to school policies, safeguarding protocols, and ensure readiness for inspections in line with KHDA standards.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics is mandatory; a PGCE/B.Ed. or an equivalent teaching qualification is also required.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience teaching Secondary Maths in a British curriculum setting is essential.
  • Experience in the UAE/GCC is preferred.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
