Introduce our students to the world and facilitate their exploration as our new Teacher of Geography. From local landscapes to global challenges, you'll inspire students to understand and engage with the world around them, empowering them to think critically and broaden their horizons.

About You:

Abbeyfield School is seeking a Teacher of Geography to join our experienced and ambitious Humanities team. Raising standards and championing the subject, you will take students on an exploration of the world around them, inspiring curiosity and broadening horizons. As a passionate and reflective practitioner, you will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5, support students to achieve their full potential, and contribute to a culture of high expectations and academic excellence. Working collaboratively with colleagues, families and the wider school community, you will play a key role in developing both the educational and personal growth of our students.

Our Ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified and Experienced Educator: Qualified Teacher Status with experience of teaching at KS3, KS4 and KS5.
  • Innovative Teaching Practitioner:Evidence of promoting innovation in teaching and learning.
  • Commitment to Inclusion:Dedicated to inclusive education, ensuring opportunities for achievement for all students.
  • Data-Driven and Impact Focused:Successful experience of using target setting, data analysis and curriculum innovation to improve performance.


Compensation

£30,000 - £46,525 (MPS/UPS Scale)
