About This Role

Are you a dedicated technologist eager to inspire the future generation of engineers and designers? Leigh Academy Wilmington is on the lookout for an enthusiastic Teacher of Design & Technology to join our innovative department.

In this role, you will engage with the IB Middle Years Programme and GCSE/BTEC pathways, providing exceptional instruction in a contemporary, digital-first setting where all students and teachers have access to their own devices.

What We Are Looking For

The perfect candidate will:

- Be a passionate expert with a solid foundation in Design Technology and Engineering.
- Inspire students through inquiry-based learning and hands-on projects.
- Exhibit a "can-do" mindset and a dedication to continuous improvement.
- Be an inclusive educator who tailors instruction to accommodate all learners, including those with SEND.
- Have experience with or a keen interest in the International Baccalaureate framework (preferred).

This is a permanent role offering a competitive salary based on experience (MPS/UPS) + London Fringe Allowance.
