About This Role

The British International School of Tbilisi (BIST) is actively seeking passionate and committed educators to enhance our dynamic independent school community. We currently serve approximately 500 students between the ages of 3 and 18, representing over 54 different nationalities. Our modern, purpose-designed campus covers more than 15,000 square meters and is located next to a scenic lake, offering stunning views of the city from the hills. Our state-of-the-art facilities support innovative teaching and learning, meeting the challenges of the 21st Century. We provide a flexible and engaging curriculum that integrates the English National Curriculum with the International Primary Curriculum, culminating in Cambridge IGCSE and A Levels at Key Stages 4 & 5. BIST is proud to have received Patron's Accreditation as a member of the Council of British International Schools (COBIS).

As part of our expansion, we have an opening for a qualified Teacher of Computer Science and Computing with experience in teaching iGCSE and A Level or equivalent, starting in August 2026.

At BIST, both students and staff are committed to positively impacting the wider community through various initiatives. All teachers are expected to actively participate in our cross-curricular days and weeks, engage in an extensive range of extracurricular activities, and contribute to the PSHE program. Secondary teachers will be responsible for teaching their subject up to A Level and preparing students for entry into prestigious universities around the globe.

Ideal candidates will possess recent teaching experience in the UK or internationally, be highly motivated and organized, and hold UK qualifications or equivalent internationally recognized certifications. An understanding of the benefits and challenges of living in a rapidly developing country will be advantageous.

BIST provides a vibrant and supportive work environment, with salaries and conditions that are competitive within the region’s international schools. Our net pay scales surpass those in the UK and are complemented by relocation allowances to and from Georgia, an annual airfare allowance, a comprehensive health and wellness package, and a housing allowance. Additionally, staff will enjoy the enriching experience of living in a beautiful and culturally diverse country. We are dedicated to the continuous professional development of our employees, offering an annual CPD allowance. Successful candidates will join a passionate and dedicated team in this esteemed school.
