About This Role
We are looking for a dynamic teacher who loves to bring out the best in neurodiverse young people/ākonga and is energised by giving rangitahi opportunities for success. Please note this is part-time, permanent position.
The successful applicant will have strengths and demonstrated experience in
- Building relationships that are focused on learning with neurodiverse young people in a residential environment.
- Delivering an adapted curriculum that is responsive to ākonga needs.
- Relating with all staff as well as external stakeholders in a collaborative way to support ākonga.
- Co-constructing and monitoring individual educational programmes that focus on readiness to learn, literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
- Being responsive to supporting ākonga self-directed learning.
