Deputy Head Academics
RWA is looking for a committed Deputy Head of Secondary School who is passionate about promoting academic success and enhancing overall school performance. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Secondary and the senior leadership team to improve data-driven methods, refine assessment and monitoring systems, and ensure consistency in teaching and learning throughout the Secondary School.
A key aspect of this role involves the development of middle leaders. The Deputy Head will focus on building leadership skills through coaching, creating accountability structures, and rolling out targeted professional development programs. This will enable Heads of Department to lead improvements within their teams effectively.
This position plays a crucial role in building robust data systems, supporting self-evaluation processes, and upholding high standards of student achievement, wellbeing, and parental engagement across the Secondary School.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience with IB-MYP and IB-DP educational frameworks is preferred.
• Seasoned educators with a strong record of leadership may be considered for senior roles.
• Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Art along with a recognized teaching qualification.
• Preference will be given to those with a Master’s Degree or higher.
• Knowledge of assessment for learning is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and technological proficiency are essential.
