About the role
Become a part of our vibrant international educational community, where you will implement a customized curriculum rooted in the English National Curriculum, preparing students for IGSCE examinations and beyond. About you
In your classroom, you will cultivate a learning culture that supports, challenges, and motivates students to reach their full potential—encouraging them to believe in limitless possibilities. Your strong motivation and communication abilities will foster a dynamic atmosphere filled with energy, excitement, and personal commitment.
You will adopt an inclusive approach to EAL, assisting students with varying levels of English proficiency to engage with the curriculum. Your teaching will not only cover subject content but will also focus on developing language, literacy, and communication skills within your lessons.
Your educational philosophy will prepare you to address the diverse needs of all learners, enabling you to teach students with a broad range of prior achievements, knowledge, and skills. Your expertise and adaptability in planning will allow you to create pathways for every student’s progress in your subject, facilitating individualized success based on tailored targets.
You will actively promote your subject both inside and outside the classroom, seeking opportunities for enriching visits and guest speakers while also contributing to our extracurricular activities program. As an engaged member of the school community, you will participate in events involving various stakeholders.
Open to receiving feedback and embracing change, you will be eager to share best practices with colleagues. As a committed representative of the school, you will explore new ways to engage students and parents within our school and the broader Nord Anglia Education community.
You will possess the following essential qualifications:
- A university degree in a relevant specialist subject
- A teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE/PDGE)
- Experience teaching in a UK and/or international context
- A strong working knowledge of the English National Curriculum relevant to your subject
Additionally, you must be a fluent English speaker, either at a native or near-native proficiency level. You will also need to comply with visa-related requirements for Qatar, including holding a Bachelor’s degree and a teaching qualification from a face-to-face (non-online) course.
