Primary Teacher – GEMS Al Barsha National School, Dubai

GEMS Al Barsha National School is seeking enthusiastic and motivating Primary Teachers to join our dynamic team beginning in August 2026. The Role

As a Primary Teacher, your primary responsibility will be to design and deliver exceptional lessons that cater to the varying needs of all students. You will create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that fosters curiosity, creativity, and self-confidence in every learner.

Alongside your teaching duties, you will actively engage in the wider school community, participating in co-curricular activities and community events that enhance our students’ academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that are in line with the school’s curriculum.
  • Evaluate, document, and share student progress to ensure every child reaches their maximum potential.
  • Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes effective learning.
  • Demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum, subject matter, and effective teaching practices.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design units, share best practices, and contribute to curriculum development.
  • Maintain transparent communication with parents, providing regular updates on student progress and well-being.
  • Participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, school events, and committees.
  • Consistently embody the GEMS Education Core Values and comply with school policies.
  • Promote cultural awareness, resilience, and a genuine enthusiasm for learning among all students.

Qualifications & Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education (or an equivalent teaching qualification).
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor’s Degree with a recognized teaching certification/license.
  • Strong understanding of integrating ICT in education to enhance student engagement and learning.

Skills & Attributes

  • A committed and skilled classroom practitioner who maintains high expectations for student achievement and behavior.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A reflective educator dedicated to continuous professional growth.
  • Flexible, positive, and able to thrive in a collaborative team setting.

Experience

  • At least two years of teaching experience in a relevant subject area and age group.
  • Experience with the National Curriculum for England is highly desirable.
  • Experience in an international school environment is a plus.
