Job Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative, and dedicated teacher to captivate and motivate the inquisitive minds of our primary school students. This position is currently available as a two-year contract, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role afterward.

Role Description

We are in search of a highly qualified English-speaking teacher who holds a teaching degree or a teaching certificate (QTS) in Primary Education. Our class teachers are responsible for teaching all primary subjects, with the exception of art, coding, music, German, and physical education, which are delivered by specialists. Our primary school serves students from Year 1 through Year 4, as secondary education in Germany starts in Year 5. We function as a three-form entry primary school, comprising a total of 12 classes across Years 1 to 4. Our educational framework is aligned with the objectives set forth in the German county curriculum for Lower Saxony, with lessons taught in English utilizing materials predominantly from the UK, US, and other English-speaking countries. While having several years of experience teaching KS1/2 is advantageous, it is not a mandatory requirement. Additionally, knowledge of German is not essential, but a willingness to learn basic phrases during your time here will be beneficial.

Please send your applications to Mrs. Maren Clarke, Principal and Head of Primary.
