Salary:
Grade 15 Point 4 (£25,185 FTE, £13.05 per hour) then moving up to Grade 14, point 6 (£25,989 FTE, £13.47 per hour) after 6 months' probation.
Location: Huish Nurseries @ Nerrols
Hours: 38 hours per week, all year-round hours between Monday – Friday. Hours 8am – 6pm across 4 days

Huish Nurseries @ Nerrols Primary School is a well-established, friendly nursery dedicated to providing high-quality care and education for children aged 2 -4 years old, open 50 weeks of the year from 8:00am- 6:00pm Monday to Friday.

We are looking for candidates who are able to Provide a warm, welcoming, and inclusive atmosphere for children and families. Plan and deliver engaging activities that support children's developmental milestones. Observe, assess, and record children's progress to ensure they are reaching their full potential. Promote positive behaviour and a supportive learning environment. Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating setting, adhering to health and safety policies. Follow all safeguarding policies and procedures of the nursery Work collaboratively and enthusiastically with a team to ensure high standards of care and education. Communicate effectively with parents/carers, keeping them informed about their child's progress. Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare (or equivalent). We will also consider apprenticeships. GCSEs in Maths and English are essential. Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting is desirable. Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Strong communication skills and a caring, patient approach. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Paediatric first aid, a current safeguarding certificate and a food hygiene certificate are desirable.
