About This Role

MOE Position (Arabic B Teacher)

The Arabic B Teacher will create engaging lesson plans that facilitate learning progression by setting clear educational objectives and outlining the strategies to achieve them through:


Developing activities that captivate students and generate high levels of engagement.


Establishing specific goals that build on prior accomplishments and progress.


Recognizing students with SEN/EAL requirements.


Structuring lessons efficiently to sustain pace, motivation, and challenge.


Effectively utilizing assessments to ensure comprehensive curriculum coverage.


Maintaining high standards for both classwork and homework.


Employing a variety of teaching methods to match the content, organize information, and present material clearly.


Applying effective questioning techniques, actively listening to students, and addressing misconceptions and errors.


Selecting appropriate learning resources and enhancing study skills using the library, ICT, and other tools.


Ensuring students acquire and reinforce the knowledge, skills, and understanding relevant to the subject.


Guaranteeing effective use of classroom support.


Encouraging students to reflect on their learning, cultivate self-discipline and independence, sustain focus and perseverance, and listen attentively.


Engaging in the development, execution, and monitoring of subject policies while assisting in documentation creation as needed.


Ensuring students' work is graded, displayed, and presented to a high standard within the classroom and throughout the school, updating it regularly.


Consistently enforcing school rules to maintain discipline, dress code, and ensure the well-being, happiness, and safety of all students and the broader community.


Collaborating with colleagues to uphold high levels of professional conduct both in and out of the classroom, acting in ways that are honest, justifiable, and in the best interests of students.


Maintaining a professional appearance that is sensitive to cultural considerations.


Supporting the School Improvement Plan related to the curriculum and the continuous enhancement of student achievement.

Monitoring, Assessing, Recording and Reporting


Assessing the effectiveness of personal teaching practices to maintain high standards and guarantee student progress.


Critically reflecting on one’s own teaching for continuous improvement.


Participating in peer observations when necessary and allowing colleagues to observe.


Submitting books, records, or planning documents as needed for peer or SMT review.


Grading and monitoring student work while frequently setting progress targets.


Systematically assessing and documenting students' progress and keeping thorough records.


Ensuring that work is understood and completed while tracking each student's strengths and weaknesses.


Planning assessments based on individual student achievement levels.


Conducting student assessments as requested according to departmental and school protocols.


Preparing and presenting detailed reports for parents.


Regularly reviewing students’ work through formal and informal assessments at the conclusion of units as directed by SLT.


Maintaining communication with the school SENCO and Head of Department regarding any student whose progress or behavior is concerning.


Keeping records accessible for sharing with colleagues or for review by members of the SLT, ISP, and ADEK Inspection team.


Assisting with resource needs for the subjects taught, as requested by the Head of Key Stage/department.

Curriculum Development


Collaborating as part of a team to create plans that set clear targets and success criteria for the development and maintenance of the school’s curriculum.


Contributing to the planning activities across the entire school.

Directed Time


Being present at school during designated hours and attending all meetings/functions considered directed time, including two extracurricular activities and one planning session weekly.

Punctuality


Setting a strong example for punctuality and encouraging the same behavior from students and colleagues.


Recording student attendance in the system and notifying the PRE of any absences or lateness.

Safety


Emphasizing the importance of safety across all areas of the curriculum, fostering a responsible attitude towards personal safety, the safety of others, and respect for Reach British School’s property and equipment.


Carrying out playground duties promptly and diligently to ensure the safety of Reach students.

Communication With Parents


Regularly engaging with parents informally to address day-to-day inquiries.


Attending Parents’ Evenings as required and providing accurate, honest feedback on individual progress during these meetings.


Delivering written reports to parents twice a year or as required by SLT.

Staff Development, ECA & Cover


Actively participating in Staff Development sessions, staff meetings, and briefings as scheduled.


Providing coverage for absent colleagues whenever necessary.


Contributing to the extracurricular activity program to enrich the school experience for students as reasonably directed by the SLT and ECA Coordinator.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
