We are seeking a committed and skilled Mathematics Teacher to become part of our Middle School and High School team starting in August 2026. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Teach Mathematics to Middle and High School students, following IB standards and curriculum requirements.
• Develop and deliver engaging lessons that foster problem-solving, logical reasoning, and analytical skills.
• Promote a growth mindset, encouraging students to explore mathematical concepts through inquiry-based learning.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners and challenge students of varying abilities.
• Continuously assess and track student progress, offering constructive feedback and modifying instructional approaches as needed.
• Incorporate technology and digital tools to enhance learning experiences, utilizing graphing software and interactive platforms.
• Actively participate in the school’s extracurricular programs, including math clubs, competitions, and STEM initiatives.
• Collaborate with colleagues across different subjects to create interdisciplinary learning experiences aligned with the IB philosophy.
• Mentor students to support their personal, academic, and social development.
• Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and growth.
• Ensure that teaching practices reflect the principles of IB inquiry-based learning and the school’s values, fostering curiosity and a love for mathematics.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
• A university degree in Mathematics or a related discipline, along with a recognized teaching certification.
• Experience teaching mathematics to Middle and High School students, preferably in an international or IB school context.
• Familiarity with the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and IB Diploma Programme (DP), emphasizing inquiry-based mathematics education.
• Proven capability to create an engaging and dynamic classroom environment that promotes problem-solving and critical thinking.
• Proficiency in incorporating technology to enhance mathematics teaching through digital tools and interactive platforms.
• Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (knowledge of French is an advantage).
• A collaborative mindset, able to work effectively with colleagues from various disciplines.
