The British College of Gava, an IB World School located just 20 minutes from Barcelona, is looking for a full-time Mathematics teacher to join our team starting in August 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing, purpose-built school equipped with outstanding facilities in a prime location. We are in search of a dedicated Mathematics teacher to instruct students in KS3, GCSE, and IBDP AI and AA Mathematics groups.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare, provide, and assess class or subject-based activities that enhance student learning.
- Plan lessons by established deadlines in the agreed formats, ensuring that planning copies are accessible to interested parties.
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and share insights with colleagues as appropriate.
- Create a stimulating and well-ordered classroom environment, utilizing time and resources efficiently.
- Engage students in the target-setting process.
- Assign homework that reinforces and extends classroom learning, providing timely feedback on students’ work.
- Foster good behavior among students and encourage positive attitudes towards peers, adults, property, and schoolwork.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and ensure the smooth transfer of current records during class or school transitions.
- Cultivate a strong home-school partnership by consulting with and updating parents on their children's progress, achievements, and attitudes.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Essential:
- UK-trained with qualified teacher status
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in secondary education teaching
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the English National Curriculum
- Experience with iGCSE/A Level/IBDP
Desirable:
- Familiarity with IB programmes
- Master's or postgraduate qualification
- Eligibility to work in the EU
