About This Role

Job Description

• Foster an inclusive and dynamic learning environment rooted in evidence-based practices.

• Deliver a curriculum that is rigorous, relevant, and meaningful, employing a transdisciplinary and conceptual framework in accordance with the English National Curriculum.

• Demonstrate expertise in teaching design and technology, as well as coding for primary students, while integrating these subjects within inquiry-based units.

• Cultivate and maintain genuine, respectful, and positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues, celebrating social, cultural, and religious diversity.

• Tailor the curriculum to cater to the varied learning needs of all students.

• Attend and contribute to meetings as required.

• Collaboratively create and review Individual Education Plans as needed.

• Maintain detailed planning documents that specify learning objectives, differentiated tasks, and assessments.

• Track and document student progress.

• Utilize technology to enhance student learning outcomes.

• Ensure a clean and organized classroom environment, encouraging students to take pride in their learning space.

• Manage all aspects of classroom dynamics, effectively addressing the academic, social, and emotional needs of every student.

• Engage in professional dialogues and collaborate with colleagues, sharing expertise while maintaining confidentiality.

• Advocate for student wellbeing, fostering a culture of safeguarding and child protection that aligns with the school’s commitment to student safety.

• Reflect on personal teaching methodologies to remain updated on current research and best practices.

• Participate in Professional Learning and evaluation processes aimed at personal, professional, and career growth.

• Assist in managing pastoral care, health, welfare, and behavior for all students, particularly those in your designated class group.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Principal.

Qualifications

• Applicants must hold at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or an equivalent qualification, or a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant area followed by a PGCE from an accredited University or College.

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant teaching experience is necessary, with preference given to those with experience in inquiry-based teaching (IB or IPC).

• Candidates are required to provide original copies of their certificates and academic transcripts for verification.

• Immediate availability is preferred.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
