About This Role
Bloom World Academy, located in the vibrant city of Dubai within a state-of-the-art new campus, is seeking an IB DP Librarian/Individuals and Societies Teacher to commence in August 2026.
Founded in August 2022, Bloom World Academy caters to students aged three to 18 years. The institution has made remarkable strides by rethinking traditional educational practices and innovating for the benefit of learners, families, and educators in Dubai.

Position Overview: DP Librarian
Bloom World Academy is on the lookout for an outstanding IB DP Librarian/Individuals and Societies Teacher. We are in search of a creative professional who thrives in the classroom and is passionate about championing our library spaces.
The librarian will take on the responsibility of providing educational and pedagogical leadership, engaging in collaborative projects with both educators and students, and managing and developing the library. You should be adept at teaching students across various abilities, possess a proven track record of delivering excellent student outcomes, and have the ability to positively influence the teaching practices of your colleagues.
As the DP Librarian, you will play a key role in fostering a dynamic learning environment within our International Baccalaureate (IB) program. You will serve as a bridge between students, teachers, and the vast resources available in our school library. This role combines traditional librarian responsibilities with a focus on facilitating IB curriculum integration, enhancing information literacy, and promoting the development of research skills. The ideal candidate will have a passion for literature, a solid understanding of the IB framework, and the ability to inspire a love for reading and inquiry-based learning in students.
While prior experience with the IB program is preferred, it is not required as training will be provided.

Candidate Requirements
- Strong proficiency in English
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Library Science or relevant experience, with a PGCE in Education with QTS or equivalent preferred
- Familiarity with various offline and online resources/platforms (e.g., JSTOR/Follett, etc.)
- Preference for candidates with IB DP/CP experience, including knowledge and support for TOK, IA, or Extended Essay
- A minimum of three to five years of teaching experience at a recognized institution
- Demonstrates professionalism, enthusiasm, and a commitment to student success.
