As we expand our High Performance Sports Programme (PAR Programme Elite), we are looking for an outstanding and experienced High Performance Tennis Coach to join our elite sports department.

Position: High Performance Tennis Coach

Introduction:

As the High Performance Tennis Coach, you will lead and enhance our distinguished tennis programme, working with talented student-athletes who excel both academically and in competitive sports. Your role will involve designing and implementing structured high-performance training programs while mentoring players competing at regional, national, and international levels.

This position requires close collaboration with academic staff, strength and conditioning coaches, physiotherapists, boarding personnel, and families to ensure a holistic development pathway that aligns with the school's values and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and implement structured high-performance tennis training programs
• Offer personalized coaching focused on technical, tactical, physical, and mental performance
• Monitor player progress through performance data and match assessments
• Prepare athletes for regional, national, and international competitions
• Arrange competition schedules and travel logistics as necessary
• Partner with academic departments to balance sports and academic commitments
• Assist in the identification and recruitment of promising national and international tennis talent
• Uphold safeguarding and welfare standards consistently
• Represent Sage College with professionalism at competitions and events

Skills and Qualifications:

• Current tennis coaching qualification (e.g., ITF, RPT, RFET, LTA or equivalent national federation certification)
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience coaching competitive or high-performance athletes
• Proven track record in developing players for regional, national, or international competition
• Strong knowledge of modern tennis methodologies, biomechanics, and performance analytics
• Experience in structured high-performance or academy environments
• Excellent communication skills in English (Spanish is a plus)
• Ability to mentor student-athletes within an academic framework
• Driving license preferred
