Successful applicants must:
- Be dedicated to the vision, ethos, and values of DBS.
- Hold at least a Bachelor's degree (preferably with a Master's in Educational Leadership or a related field).
- Have a proven history of success in a senior leadership role, ideally with previous experience as a Head in a large secondary school.
- Demonstrate a successful track record of enhancing academic standards and leading effective school improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to ensure coherence and contribute to school improvement, enhancing the overall leadership capacity across the DBS network.
- Lead with integrity, creativity, resilience, and objectivity.
- Strategically impact the secondary school by developing and promoting a clear vision that aligns with our overall objectives and fosters student success.
- Champion curriculum development, creating engaging and relevant learning experiences that prepare students for future success.
- Employ data-driven insights to continuously enhance academic performance and student outcomes.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive environment for staff, offering exceptional professional development opportunities that empower teachers.
- Mentor and coach senior staff, enabling them to evolve into future leaders and advocates of excellence.
- Promote an inclusive vision that nurtures a vibrant school community, celebrating diversity and addressing the unique needs of all learners.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and the broader community to ensure optimal outcomes for students.
- Be a passionate advocate for our school’s ethos and educational philosophy, actively contributing to the DBS vision for secondary education.
- Encourage the development of character traits.
- Establish, develop, and monitor a School Improvement Partnership that involves learners, parents, and staff for the secondary phase of the school.
- Be dedicated to maximizing student potential through consistently high-quality teaching.
- Maintain a visible and approachable presence, communicating effectively at all levels.
- Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full academic and social potential.
- Encourage and support staff in their professional endeavors.
