We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and experienced Head of Primary P.E. to join our team in August 2026. This critical role will focus on advancing the Physical Education program within the Primary phase. The successful applicant will play a key part in boosting student achievement, nurturing well-being, and encouraging personal development through outstanding physical education and sports initiatives.

In this role, you will lead the Primary P.E. department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning, developing a dynamic and engaging curriculum, and promoting participation and excellence in sports. You will also engage in school-wide projects and contribute to the larger school community.

Candidates who succeed will work closely with the Senior Management Team to ensure exceptional student outcomes. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Primary Physical Education department
• Develop and implement an exceptional P.E. curriculum
• Promote competitive sports and extracurricular activities
• Support school-wide events and initiatives
• Manage resources and ensure health and safety compliance within the department
• Carry out teaching and other professional responsibilities as assigned by the School Principal

Position Requirements:

• Degree in P.E./Teaching (essential)
• PGCE (essential)
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (essential)
• NPQML (desirable)
• Swimming qualifications (desirable)
• Specialization in Netball and/or Football (desirable)

Experience:

• Two to three years of leadership experience in a similar school setting
