Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and enhance the Design Technology curriculum.
- Cultivate exceptional teaching practices that incorporate creative, technical, and industry-relevant skills.
- Monitor student progress and utilize data to inform intervention strategies and curriculum enhancements.
- Ensure quality assurance through lesson observations, data tracking, and departmental planning.
- Contribute to the school’s strategic vision and improvement initiatives, fostering collaboration across subjects.
- Assist the Senior Leadership Team in preparing for inspections and delivering professional development in Design Technology.
Skills:
Successful candidates should possess:
- A B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent qualification in Secondary teaching or a related field.
- Experience teaching the British curriculum in Design Technology at GCSE and/or A-Level.
- Exceptional subject knowledge.
- Experience working within a high-performing teaching team.
- A proven track record of delivering outstanding teaching and learning.
- At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role within a Performing Arts teaching team.
