Position Overview:
- The Performing Arts Lead Teacher will be an integral part of the school’s teaching teams. They will work closely with Senior Leaders to set strategic direction and help realise ESF’s vision of “creating the conditions so that every child thrives.” In addition to specialist teaching obligations, the Performing Arts Teacher will have a key responsibility for leading best practice in inquiry-based Performing Arts pedagogy across the school. Their main role is to model, encourage and advocate quality learning and teaching to ensure the best possible outcomes for the students.
General Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a Bachelor’s degree in any subject with a Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma in Education (PGCE/PGDE).
- An understanding of the PYP and the key underpinnings of the curriculum frameworks is advantageous.
- Newly qualified teachers or teaching experience within a recognised educational institute.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The iPGCE (assessment only) does not qualify for Teacher Registration status from the Hong Kong Education Bureau, which is a crucial requirement for teaching at an ESF school.
