An opportunity to provide flexible, casual support to the academy team during busy exam periods:

We are looking for Exam Invigilators to join our supportive and talented exam team at Winterstoke Hundred Academy. We are a diverse multi-academy trust, looking for professional and ambitious people, with a passion for transforming our students’ learning. Our Academies need exam invigilators, readers and scribers to assist with scheduled exams across the Federation. As this is a casual position you will work when available and will be called upon when required to support the Academy during exam season.

Under the direction of the Exams Officer, the Exams Invigilator will assist in the efficient delivery of internal and external exams. They will ensure that the conduct of internal and external examinations takes place in accordance with Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) regulations and academy procedures. The postholder will ensure the candidates exam experience is a positive and supportive one; enabling that each candidate has an equal opportunity to demonstrate their abilities.

  • practical experience of understanding and following processes and procedure.
  • excellent interpersonal, good organisational and time management skills.
  • the ability to keep calm under pressure or during unexpected circumstances.
  • have a caring and understanding attitude, sensitive and responsive to the needs of our students.
  • the capabilities to work as part of a team but also under own initiative.

About Winterstoke Hundred Academy:     

Winterstoke Hundred Academy have students in all year groups, being oversubscribed in Years 7 to 10. Year 11 who were our first cohort of learners are a slightly smaller cohort and we have a thriving sixth form with students in Years 12 and 13. The development of the new building, which opened in 2024, saw us nearing capacity as a split-site, medium-scale 11–19 Academy. We celebrate the fact that, as a new provision, our culture, ethos and values have been ours to define from the beginning, and we are able to decide what is important to take with us into the future as we grow.
