School Overview –

Situated in the center of Phuket Island, HeadStart received its ‘International School’ designation in 2010 and has full accreditation from The Education Development Trust. During our most recent evaluation, we were awarded the International Schools Quality Mark (ISQM), with assessors recognizing us as a ‘Good School with Outstanding Features.’

Our curriculum is aligned with the national standards of England, enabling us to deliver Cambridge and Pearson qualifications at the secondary level, such as IGCSEs, A Levels, and BTECs.

The main campus at Chaofah serves 1,000 students and is oversubscribed in many year groups. In August 2028, we will enhance our Upper School facilities, establishing 'HeadStart College' as the leading educational institution in Southern Thailand.

In August 2023, we opened a new campus in the northern region of the island, Cherngtalay. Initially a one-form Foundation and Primary school, our Cherngtalay Campus has now expanded to a three-form entry Foundation, Primary, and Secondary School (KS3 only), accommodating up to 500 students.

English Teacher

As our institution continues to expand, we are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and driven English Teacher to join our team in August 2026. The ideal candidate should have experience teaching key stage 3.

We seek an inspiring educator capable of engaging students with the subject matter. The successful candidate will be a passionate team player, brimming with energy and zeal, who instills a love for learning in students. A good sense of humor and a strong work ethic are vital attributes.

Candidates with the appropriate experience may have opportunities for leadership roles.

Requirements / Application Information

Essential Qualifications:

· In-depth knowledge of the UK curriculum and experience teaching across all phases

· Thorough understanding of KS3 English assessment standards

· Proven success in prior teaching positions

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

· A recognized teaching qualification: BEd.; PGCE; iPGCE or equivalent

· Fluent in English

Preferred Qualifications (not mandatory):

· Experience in an International School environment

· Background in teaching students with English as an Additional Language.
