About This Role

ADNOC Schools are actively looking for exceptional Elementary Classroom Teachers for the Ruwais Campus (Western Region) with a start date in August 2025.

The Massachusetts Curriculum is highly esteemed in the United States and is closely associated with renowned higher education institutions, including Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Graduates from ADNOC Schools earn the American High School Diploma, which serves as the standard entry qualification for colleges and universities in the U.S.

Responsibilities:

• Foster a learning environment that promotes exceptional educational practices.
• Establish clear teaching and learning objectives.
• Design challenging tasks that maintain student engagement and interest.
• Set high expectations and appropriate benchmarks.
• Create clear goals that build upon previous achievements.
• Identify students with special educational needs (SEN) or those who are exceptionally able, ensuring their requirements are met through tailored differentiation.
• Structure lessons effectively to maintain momentum, motivation, and challenge.
• Utilize assessment for learning effectively.
• Leverage performance data and key indicators to inform lesson planning, thereby delivering differentiated instruction.
• Uphold discipline according to the school’s ‘Behaviour for Learning Policy’ and promote positive practices regarding punctuality, behavior, work standards, and homework.
• Employ diverse teaching strategies to:
i. Align teaching approaches with content, organize information, present key concepts, and use suitable vocabulary.
ii. Implement effective questioning techniques, listen attentively to students, and address errors and misconceptions.
iii. Select appropriate learning resources and enhance study skills through library access, ICT, and other educational technologies.
• Evaluate the achievement of learning objectives and use this information to refine specific teaching aspects.
• Provide feedback on students' work a minimum of bi-weekly and set progress targets.
• Use performance data to guide planning and ensure that learning and teaching continue to ‘add value’.
• Systematically assess and document students' progress, maintaining records to verify understanding and completion of work, while monitoring strengths and areas for improvement to inform planning and recognize achievement levels.
• Conduct assessments as required by examination bodies and school policies.
• Prepare and share informative reports with parents.
• Participate in subject development by creating, reviewing, and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work.
• Stay current in subject knowledge through continuous professional development (CPD) and professional reading.
• Attend relevant professional development workshops.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Principal or Vice Principal.

Candidates must be fully qualified teachers with:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Education.
• At least two years of postgraduate teaching experience.
• A passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering holistic child development.
• Regular involvement in extracurricular activities.
• Respect for all members of the school community.
• Experience working with students for whom English is an additional language.
• A positive, solution-oriented approach to professional life.
• A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services or Police check.
