Job Requirements
- Support student recruitment by developing promotional materials, hosting information sessions, and guiding prospective families.
- Communicate IB regulations, internal deadlines, and curriculum updates to teachers; oversee the implementation of TOK, CAS, and the Extended Essay.
- Guide students in making subject choices, upholding academic integrity, meeting deadlines, focusing on well-being, and navigating university applications.
- Work alongside CAS and Extended Essay coordinators in program development, supervision, record-keeping, and managing deadlines.
- Engage with parents to clarify expectations, support needs, and details of the DP program.
- Collaborate with IB offices, external organizations, and universities as necessary.
- Organize and manage mock and final exams, including scheduling, supervision, security, and material submission.
- Oversee post-examination activities, including distributing results, providing counseling, and managing registration for retakes.
- Contribute to the long-term advancement of the DP, maintain records, manage budgets, and ensure adherence to IB standards.
- Take the lead in curriculum development, policy creation, teacher training, and accreditation processes.
- Facilitate effective communication throughout the school community, including DP information sessions and updates.
- Model IB learner profile attributes and promote inquiry-based, differentiated, and assessment-focused teaching practices.
- Ensure the consistent implementation of DP standards through classroom observations, collaborative planning, and assessment monitoring.
- Document program execution and maintain ongoing compliance with IB requirements.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a Degree with PGCE/PGDE or QTS (or an equivalent teaching qualification) in the relevant subject area.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience (preferred).
- Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Experience with IB teaching is desirable but not essential.
