This is a permanent, full-time position offering a salary between $90,000 and $125,000, depending on experience.

The Role
As the Director of Boarding, you will be responsible for ensuring that each boarding student feels recognized, valued, and supported. This role involves collaborating closely with the Upper School Leadership and Student Support teams (including the Head of Upper School, Assistant Heads of Upper School, Directors of Guidance, Manager of the Health Centre, Co-Curricular Directors, Chaplain, and Social Worker) to create a dynamic boarding environment that offers students numerous opportunities within a community focused on well-being, belonging, and engagement. The Director of Boarding oversees the progress and development of boarding students in Grades 9-12, setting the direction for boarding programming, which includes advisory sessions, weekend activities, and community-building events. You will play a crucial role in upholding the Code of Conduct and expectations for Senior School boarding students, ensuring their safety and well-being on campus while working in collaboration with the Food Services provider and the facilities and security teams. Reporting directly to the Head of Upper School, the Director of Boarding will be instrumental in fostering a safe, equitable, and inclusive culture that aligns with Havergal’s mission and values. The successful candidate will be required to live in school-provided housing.
