About This Role
Christian Life School (Peace River North) is seeking a part-time (40-50%) ADST (Foods) Teacher for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. As an accredited independent institution, Christian Life School serves a diverse community of approximately 150 students, spanning from Kindergarten to Junior High. Our dedicated staff prioritize motivating and supporting students, encouraging them to push beyond their limits to reach new academic milestones.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate (or eligibility to obtain one)
- Agreement with our doctrinal statement, mission, and philosophies that reflect our Christian faith-based principles and policies
- Flexibility to adapt to various course assignments based on demand (minimum requirement of a minor in a teachable subject at the secondary level recognized by the BC Ministry of Education)
- Experience in modifying and adapting curriculum to address students' diverse needs
- Proficient classroom management skills to maintain an effective learning environment while respecting student dignity
- A commitment to implementing school initiatives and goals within the classroom setting
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues to create and execute individualized learning plans for students facing academic, social, and emotional challenges
- Willingness to engage in a cooperative approach with staff on the school improvement plan and professional development
