POSITION DESCRIPTION: Christian Life School (Peace River North) is seeking a full-time Physical Education teacher for grades K-9 for the 2026-2027 academic year. As an accredited independent institution, Christian Life School (CLS) serves a diverse population of approximately 150 students from Kindergarten to Junior High. Our dedicated staff is committed to inspiring and guiding students to achieve their fullest potential while encouraging them to step beyond their comfort zones to reach new academic milestones.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for certification)
- Agreement with our doctrinal statement, mission, and philosophies in alignment with our Christian faith-based school and policies
- Ability to adapt to various course assignments based on demand, including a minimum of a minor in a teachable subject at the secondary level as recognized by the BC Ministry of Education
- Experience in adapting and modifying curriculum to cater to student needs
- Proficient classroom management skills and strategies that foster a conducive learning environment while respecting student dignity
- Openness to implementing school initiatives and goals within the classroom
- Capacity to collaborate with team members to create and execute individualized learning plans for students facing academic, social, and emotional challenges
- Willingness to engage in a collaborative model with staff on school improvement initiatives and professional development opportunities
