We seek a passionate and dedicated Physical Education Teacher – English to create a supportive and culturally relevant educational atmosphere for the students at Joe A. Ross School.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate is essential
- A Bachelor of Education degree is required
- Candidates must provide a satisfactory child abuse registry check and criminal record check prior to employment
DUTIES:
- Follow the Teachers Code of Conduct as well as the OCN/OES Employee Code of Conduct
- Maintain punctuality and demonstrate courtesy towards all students and staff
- Plan and deliver the approved curriculum effectively
- Create and sustain a respectful, pleasant, and orderly learning environment conducive to student education
- Assess and evaluate student performance, clearly explaining the evaluation processes for each course
- Provide attendance and progress reports to the principal as needed
- Utilize assessment results to enhance physical education instruction and learning
- Refer students to appropriate special services when necessary
- Ensure that all lesson plans, timetables, and marking records are finalized and submitted at the conclusion of the teaching position
- Undertake any other responsibilities as assigned
