Aldar Education is seeking a remarkable Teacher - Physics for the Middle and Senior School at Mamoura British Academy in Abu Dhabi, with an immediate start date.

Mamoura British Academy adheres to the British curriculum and operates as a co-educational school until Year 8, transitioning to a girls-only institution from Year 9 onwards. A. Teaching and Learning

  • Having a solid grasp of the British curriculum.
  • Organizing classroom resources and learning materials while creating displays that foster an engaging and positive learning environment.
  • Planning, preparing, and delivering lessons that cater to the diverse needs of all learners, in accordance with the Learning and Teaching Policy.
  • Inspiring and motivating students through creative and dynamic teaching approaches.
  • Observing and assessing students per the Assessment Policy.
  • Reflecting on teaching practices, lesson delivery, and student progress, while making necessary adjustments to the learning environment, planning, and curriculum.
  • Ensuring that the attributes of the Mamoura British Academy Teacher and Learner DNA are embedded throughout the curriculum.

B. Assessment and Data

  • Taking responsibility for the progress of the classes taught.
  • Meeting assessment and recording requirements for tracking student progress using the school's designated assessment system.
  • Utilizing assessment data to inform future planning, provisions, and interventions.
  • Being accountable to the Head of Department for the performance data of the classes taught and formulating strategies for improvement.
  • Providing updates to parents and caregivers regarding student progress during Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings.

C. Behaviour Management and Duties

  • Following the Behaviour Policy.
  • Effectively managing classes with strategies tailored to students' needs to inspire, motivate, and challenge them.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with students, exercising appropriate authority, and taking decisive action when necessary within the framework of the Behaviour Policy.
  • Serving as a positive role model and consistently demonstrating the attitudes, values, and behaviors expected of students.
  • Upholding high expectations for behavior, promoting independence and self-control among all learners.
  • Ensuring that the Mamoura Values DNA language and attitudes are woven throughout the curriculum.
  • Performing duties as assigned in accordance with school policy.

D. Wider Professional Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with the department team to support planning, as well as engaging in professional development opportunities.
