About This Role
Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO)
We are looking to hire a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) starting in August 2026. The ideal candidate will play a key role in leading and enhancing our inclusion efforts, collaborating effectively with the Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion, senior leadership, teaching staff, and support personnel to deliver outstanding support for all students.
Primary responsibilities will encompass:

Assisting in the leadership and management of the Inclusion Team
•
Creating and implementing high-quality professional development programs for Learning Support Assistants
•
Aiding the Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion in strategic planning efforts
•
Supervising and contributing to the formulation and assessment of Individual Education Plans
•
Coordinating summative assessment procedures for students with additional needs
•
Evaluating and improving inclusive teaching methods through learning walks, book reviews, and environment assessments
•
Facilitating the recruitment, training, and performance management of LSAs
•
Leading Continuous Professional Development (CPD) initiatives to enhance whole-school inclusive practices
The Successful Candidate Will Possess:
•
A recognized British teaching qualification and QTS
•
A recognized SENCO qualification or be in the process of obtaining it
•
Demonstrated experience in leading inclusion within a primary school environment
•
Strong understanding of current best practices in SEND and inclusive education
•
Experience in managing and developing support staff teams
•
Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and leadership abilities
•
