The Post
Rugby School Dubai is in search of a remarkable educator and leader to step into the role of Head of Business Studies and Economics, responsible for the strategic direction, promotion, and management of this vital department, which is anticipated to be one of the most successful in Dubai. This position presents an exciting opportunity for an existing head of department or a dynamic and proficient educator eager to advance their career. The role is a key middle leadership position within the school, and the ideal candidate will possess the relevant experience and qualifications for this role.
The chosen applicant will:
• Hold a relevant degree and teaching qualification, likely obtained from a British university.
• Have at least three years of teaching experience within a British curriculum school.
• Possess a PGCE or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Be capable of teaching A Level Business Studies and Economics (currently Oxford AQA IAL for Business Studies and Edexcel IAL for Economics).
• Demonstrate experience in leading teams.
• Prioritize students in their teaching approach.
• Exhibit a passion for professional development.
• Be prepared to engage fully in school life, contributing to our pastoral system and co-curricular activities.
