About This Role

Our German-English Phorms Campus Berlin Süd is ideally situated in the lush area of Steglitz-Zehlendorf. This vibrant community brings together 700 children and young people who learn and grow side by side within our nursery, primary school, and secondary school. Our bilingual approach employs the immersion method from nursery through secondary education. The heritage-listed campus, with its expansive outdoor spaces, provides our international and dynamic community with a nurturing environment characterized by a family-like atmosphere.

Phorms Berlin Süd is part of the Phorms Education SE network of bilingual schools and nurseries, enhancing the educational landscape in Germany since 2006.

We are currently seeking an

Early Childhood Educator
(part-time)

to join our Kindergarten in Berlin Steglitz-Zehlendorf at the earliest opportunity.

Your Responsibilities:

Comprehensive support of our children in cognitive, emotional, and creative areas in accordance with the Berlin Bridging Diversity Programme


Engaging children in playful learning to foster their growth into independent and socially aware individuals


Overseeing and tracking children's development, documenting language acquisition, and reporting on their progress


Preparing and following up on parent meetings


You will need to complete 10 hours of professional development annually


Implementing a key person approach (primary caregiver system) to establish a consistent, trusting relationship with each child

Your Profile:

A background in childcare (such as vocational training, a degree, or relevant work experience)


Strong knowledge and understanding of child protection responsibilities


A genuine interest in early childhood education, with prior experience in the field being advantageous


An open-hearted and nurturing demeanor, with a passion for working with young children


Enthusiasm for working in a multidisciplinary team and exploring various learning methods


Fluent in English


A demonstrated eagerness to learn and improve proficiency in the German language
