About This Role
Secondary Mathematics Teacher (m/f/d)
St. George’s the British International School, Munich, Germany
Due to the ongoing expansion of our institution, St. George's School is in search of a highly qualified Mathematics teacher to join our secondary education team, starting in August 2026.
The School
Established in September 2013, St. George’s School Munich has quickly grown into a vibrant community comprising over 800 students and 100 educators. Our school’s philosophy combines a rich curriculum with a supportive, family-oriented environment, fostering a welcoming atmosphere for both staff and students.
In September 2017, we entered an exciting new chapter with the relocation to a modern, purpose-built campus in the city. This facility provides exceptional educational resources for all ages and subjects.
The National Curriculum is implemented throughout the school, and we offer IGCSE qualifications for our Upper School students. Sixth Form pupils are engaged in preparing for the International Baccalaureate Diploma.
As part of a network of three schools across Germany, St. George’s offers the successful candidate a diverse array of opportunities for professional growth and development within the school group.
The Location
Our new campus is situated in the Schwabing-Freimann area, just north of the city center. The location benefits from convenient access to the U6 metro line and the A9 motorway.
Munich, the capital of Bavaria and Germany’s third-largest city, is a vibrant cultural hub home to a large, diverse international community. Nestled at the northern foothills of the Alps, Munich boasts a high quality of life alongside numerous travel and outdoor activity options.
Munich Airport lies 30 km from the school, offering multiple daily flights to the UK, while high-speed rail services connect the city to various European destinations.
The Role
We are looking for a qualified Mathematics Teacher to join our secondary teaching team. The successful candidate will teach iGCSE and IBDP.
We desire a dynamic educator with a proven track record of helping students realize their potential. The ideal candidate will strike a balance between experience, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching that motivates our pupils.
The secondary department caters to students aged 11-18 and encompasses the Key Stage 3, IGCSE, and IB Diploma curricula. A solid understanding of the British education system is essential. While experience in IB teaching is preferred, it is not mandatory.
The Mathematics Faculty fosters a passion for mathematical learning and emphasizes the significance of mathematics in everyday life.
Given the school’s evolving nature, adaptability and a willingness to support fellow team members are essential. A strong commitment to enriching the school’s pastoral and extracurricular activities will also be beneficial.
Please download our application pack for comprehensive information.
Only applications submitted through the TES online portal will be considered.
For your application, please upload the following documents to your schrole profile:

Applications should be submitted by the deadline of Sunday, April 19th. The school reserves the right to reach out to exceptional candidates prior to this date.
St. George’s is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to uphold this commitment. Consequently, the successful candidate will undergo enhanced background checks.
