Secondary Teacher – Mathematics (starting from August 2026)
About This Role
We are excited to invite applications for a highly qualified mathematics teacher, a creative and dedicated professional of exceptional caliber, to join our lively Mathematics Department. Key Responsibilities and Duties
As a member of the Mathematics Department, you will be part of a team dedicated to ensuring that all students find joy in learning mathematics and tackling problems. The school aims to provide access to IGCSE Additional Mathematics for as many students as possible, focusing on building a solid foundation for their future studies in the IB Diploma Programme and beyond.
Additional responsibilities will include form-teachership duties, where you will collaborate with a colleague to guide a form class by leading Pastoral Care (PC) lessons and acting as the liaison between the school and families. Other pastoral care responsibilities may involve managing or leading after-school clubs and activities.

•

Ability to collaborate effectively with fellow Mathematics Department colleagues on curriculum development, resources, pedagogy, and assessment.

Skill in engaging with students and parents through consistent verbal and written feedback.
•
A minimum of an undergraduate Honours Degree in Mathematics and a recognized teaching certification such as a Bachelor of Education, Postgraduate Diploma in Education, or equivalent. A postgraduate degree in Mathematics or Statistics is preferred.

At least 5 years of teaching experience in IGCSE Additional Mathematics, IBDP Mathematics Analysis and Approaches, AP Calculus/Statistics, or the Singapore-GCE ‘A’ Level curriculum.

Commitment to an inquiry-based learning approach that encourages students to ask questions and engage in mathematical problem solving within their curriculum.
•
Focus on fostering conceptual understanding, highlighting the significance of grasping key concepts rather than relying solely on rote learning and memorization of procedures.
•
Encouragement for students to connect various mathematical topics and relate them to other subjects and real-world scenarios.
•
Expertise in differentiated instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs within the classroom.
•
Comfortable teaching across a broad range of year levels, from Grade 7 to Grade 12, across different secondary school curricula.
•
Promotion of collaborative learning and support for interdisciplinary teaching approaches, particularly in student-led projects and school committee initiatives that transcend academic subjects.
•
Utilization of technology to enhance classroom learning experiences, with proficiency in mathematical teaching tools such as Desmos, GeoGebra, and the Texas Instruments CX graphing calculator, as well as managing online lessons using apps like Zoom and Google Classroom Suite.

Experience teaching high-achieving students in Mathematics.

Advanced technology skills, including the integration of AI tools to enhance teaching and learning.
