We are seeking a highly qualified and skilled Physics Teacher to join our team in August 2026.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Deliver captivating and effective Physics instruction, aligned with the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) and other international curricula.
• Design and implement dynamic lessons that address varied learning styles, utilizing contemporary teaching methods, hands-on experiments, and technology.
• Assess student progress through both formative and summative evaluations, maintaining high academic standards.
• Provide pastoral support, promoting student well-being and working alongside the school’s well-being team.
• Foster student participation in extracurricular activities, cultural events, and STEM initiatives, including physics clubs or competitions.
• Contribute to the development of the curriculum and participate in school improvement projects.
• Maintain a constructive classroom atmosphere with high expectations for behavior and discipline.
• Collaborate with peers to exchange best practices and support professional growth objectives.
• Keep parents and stakeholders informed through regular communication regarding student progress.
• Stay updated on educational developments and engage in continuous professional learning.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
• A relevant degree in Physics or a closely related discipline, along with a valid teaching qualification.
• Experience in teaching Physics, ideally with familiarity with the IB curriculum (IBDP) or other international programs.
• The ability to inspire and engage students, nurturing a passion for scientific inquiry, experimentation, and problem-solving.
• Strong skills in differentiating instruction for a diverse range of learners.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to foster strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
• Experience in utilizing technology, conducting laboratory work, and applying innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development.
• A solid understanding of safeguarding and student welfare practices.
