International Rural School is a small, independent British international institution nestled in a picturesque natural setting near Barcelona. Established in 2017, the school has experienced steady growth while remaining true to its fundamental principles: small class sizes, individualized education, and a strong sense of community.

We provide educational programs from Early Years through to A Levels and function as a Cambridge International examination centre. Our diverse and international school community comprises families who appreciate a holistic and child-focused educational approach.

The Role

We are in search of a dynamic and passionate Primary Teacher who is dedicated to education and strives for high academic achievement within a supportive atmosphere.

The ideal candidate will:


Instruct students according to the British primary curriculum


Design and implement engaging lessons customized for small groups


Encourage curiosity, creativity, and independent thought


Collaborate effectively with colleagues and families


Make a positive contribution to the school's welcoming and supportive community

Requirements


C2 level of English (native or near-native proficiency)


Experience teaching Primary within the British curriculum


A recognized teaching qualification


Strong classroom management and organizational capabilities


A passion for personalized and holistic education


Ability to thrive in a small, collaborative school setting

Desirable



Experience in international educational environments


An interest in outdoor learning, arts, music, or project-based education


Familiarity with Cambridge International programmes
