Position Overview:
We invite passionate Science NGSS educators who are dedicated to fostering a love for learning and enhancing the vibrant community at Dubai American Academy, with roles available starting August 2026.
This is an exciting chance for Science NGSS educators focused on cultivating curiosity, inspiring success, and playing a pivotal role in the academic journey of every DAA student.
Primary Responsibilities:
•
Deliver captivating and interactive Biology lessons in line with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
•
Create and implement innovative and effective teaching approaches that promote a passion for Biology and encourage critical thinking.
•
Collaborate with peers to foster a positive and supportive educational atmosphere.
•
Ensure continuity in curriculum delivery.
•
Adapt instruction to accommodate the varied learning needs of students.
•
Cultivate an inclusive and positive classroom environment that stimulates curiosity and exploration.
•
Engage in parent-teacher conferences and maintain clear communication with parents about student progress.
Ideal Candidates Will Possess:
•
A Bachelor of Education degree, or an initial degree in a relevant field, coupled with a recognized teaching qualification such as PGCE/PGDE/teaching license or Level 5 equivalent specialization in Biology.
•
Demonstrated experience teaching High School Biology, preferably in an American/IB curriculum setting.
•
Strong understanding of inquiry-based learning and experiential Biology education.
•
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
•
Capacity to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
•
A commitment to ongoing professional development and delivering exceptional teaching and learning experiences.
