Catering to students aged 3–18, DIS operates as a not-for-profit school under the Al-Futtaim Education Foundation. Established in 2005, the school is recognized for delivering an exceptional, inclusive, and holistic educational experience. Our latest inspection identified several key strengths:

The quality of teaching, learning, and assessment throughout the school is exceptional.

Teachers maintain high expectations and consistently encourage students to excel.

Staff report feeling respected, valued, and treated equitably.

The curriculum is meticulously planned and effectively builds on prior knowledge.

There is a significant emphasis on academic progress and success.

DIS boasts a diverse student population of over 90 nationalities, which is integral to our community ethos. Our outstanding facilities facilitate a holistic educational approach, offering extensive opportunities in sports, performing arts, technology, leadership, creativity, and academic enhancement.

While our admission process is non-selective, our students achieve remarkable examination results on par with leading UK schools, progressing to prestigious universities across the globe. Digital literacy is woven throughout the curriculum, equipping students for the challenges of an evolving world.

In the Early Years, we provide a personalized, play-based continuous provision, ensuring students are rigorously assessed against the EYFS framework, laying strong foundations for future learning. In Primary, learners benefit from a comprehensive and enriching curriculum, which includes various non-core subjects. In Secondary, students complete IGCSEs in Year 11 before advancing to either the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) or IB Career-related Programme (IBCP) in Years 12 and 13.

DIS operates under the governance of the Al-Futtaim Education Foundation (AFEF), a not-for-profit initiative from the Al-Futtaim family, aligned with the vision of the Government of Dubai and KHDA to provide future-ready education while maximizing positive social impact.
